Hitchcock Woods Field Program: Insect Hike
Join Hitchcock Woods Foundation for a special field program.
Join HWF and entomologist Mattie Gose for a family-friendly guided insect hike. We will explore the diversity of insects in the Woods, carefully catching and releasing insects to get a close-up look and learn more about identification skills.
Meeting location: Stable on the Woods entrance (263 Rubins Cottage Ln)
Trail Condition and Distance: Trails are sandy and hilly, but we will walk slowly and make frequent stops. ~ 2 mile hike
Please note that registration is required and carpooling is highly encouraged. If you register and are no longer able to attend, please cancel your registration through Eventbrite or contact hlevy@hitchcockwoods.org.
There are no public restrooms or places to refill a water bottle, so please plan accordingly.

Comfortable hiking shoes
Water
Snacks
Hat
Sunscreen
Binoculars (at this time, the Foundation does not have any loaner binoculars)
Camera
Notebook/pencil for recording observations
