Brookgreen Gardens is know for its exceptional sculptures set amid its many gardens. It also offers a unique view of the former Lowcountry rice plantation with stunning natural beauty and resident wildlife.

The attraction is a National Historic Landmark with the most significant collection of figurative sculpture in an outdoor setting by American artists in the world. The gardens are also home to the only zoo accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums on the coast of the Carolinas. The seasonal creek excursion highlights plantation history and rice crops while bringing visitors close to native wildlife – alligators, waterfowl and other creatures.

Named by TripAdvisor as one of the “Top Ten Public Gardens in the U.S.” and one of the Myrtle Beach area’s most dearly loved attractions, Brookgreen Gardens’ combination of art, history and zoo touches the heart and teaches the mind. A butterfly house becomes a conservation class and an Enchanted Storybook Forest engages children’s imagination.
