Walk and Talk Charleston

Discover Charleston and the Lowcountry’s natural history on a tour with dedicated naturalist Layton Register. During the tour, we will talk about John James Audubon and his life and work and his ties to Charleston. We will also see and talk about the lives, homes, and workplaces of Charleston’s other well known naturalists, scientists, and gardeners, including Audubon’s close friend, John Bachman and many others. These pioneers had an incredible impact on the landscape and appearance of Charleston as we know it today. Join us as we wander past Charleston’s famed gardens and examine the city’s abundant green spaces.  This tour meets at St. John’s Lutheran Church located at 10 Archdale Street. It is offered weekly and by request.
