The Palmetto Trail is South Carolina’s cross-state trail system. Currently, with 380 miles of connected trail hikers, mountain bikers and equestrians can enjoy South Carolina’s cultural and natural resources. When completed, the Palmetto Trail will extend over 500 miles of nature-based and urban trails from the Mountains to the Sea. To check out their new video and learn more, click here.
When completed, the trail will stretch in a continuous ribbon from the mountains to the sea (that is, from Walhalla in Oconee County to Awendaw in Charleston County. Click here to learn about the trail’s master plan.
