From humble beginnings, Palmetto Outdoor is now the largest tubing outfitter in South Carolina, arguably in the Southeast. Michael Mayo, a local from Lexington, started Palmetto Outdoor in 2006 with a handful of tubes and a desire to get families outside and interacting with nature. Now groups come from all over the country to explore the Three Rivers Region.

Year round canoe tours are offered at Congaree National Park and seasonal river trips are offered on the Lower Saluda River.
